JOB OPENING

Associate Attorney

Join our Fort Lauderdale team as an Associate Attorney, where you will manage cases and represent clients across a range of legal matters.

Overview

The Elliot Legal Group, P.A. is hiring an associate attorney to handle business and real estate matters with real ownership. Roughly two-thirds of the work is transactional: operating agreements, shareholder and partnership agreements, purchase and sale agreements, commercial contracts, and Florida commercial real estate deals from contract through closing. The balance is commercial litigation, along with recurring outside general counsel advice to business clients. This is a client-facing position: you will run matters, draft the documents yourself, and see the work through. You will have direct daily access to the Managing Attorney, and the position is structured on the expectation that you bring judgment rather than wait for instructions.

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • 3+ years of substantive post-admission legal practice.

  • Direct client contact experience, including primary responsibility for a client relationship.
  • Ability to work from the Fort Lauderdale office on the firm's set schedule.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other case documents.
  • Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, mediations, and negotiations.
  • Manage an active caseload with guidance from senior attorneys and partners.
  • Provide clients with regular case updates and legal counsel.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and support staff on trial preparation.
