  • $175,000.00 - In July 2021, Gavin Elliot successfully resolved a proceedings supplementary under Florida Statute 56.29 in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. The Elliot Legal Group was able to obtain recovery in the amount of ($175,000.00 US) for its client on a case that started a decade ago.

  • $140,000.00 - On March 16, 2021, Elliot Legal obtained a final judgment after hearing In The Circuit Court Of The Eleventh Judicial Circuit In And For Miami-Dade County Florida for its client in the amount of $140,000.00 on a breach of contract action related to a tech industry consulting agreement.

2020

  • $174,576.86 - Elliot Legal Group Saves Borrower $174,576.86. The Elliot Legal Group was retained to settle what was presented as a usurious loan made by a lender to a borrower. A usurious loan is one where the interest on the loan higher than the equivalent of 18 percent per annum simple interest. Florida Statute 687.02. (There is a substantial body of case law regarding what is and is not a loan and what is and what is not a payment that due to the short nature of this newsletter would not be expanded on herein.) Attempts were made to resolve the matter without litigation but were unsuccessful. The suit was filed early this year. Pleadings, motions, and other matters were filed and the case proceeded forward.
